BiPAP, a term used for Biphasic positive airway pressure is a rather new mode of ventilator support which helps patients breathe easily when they can’t naturally by pushing air into the lungs of the patient.
It is used during the treatment of various respiratory diseases. Other conditions also call for BiPAP support at times.
Recently, a 65 year old male was admitted to the ICU at Bansal Global Hospital due to difficulty in breathing. The patient was brought to the emergency department of the hospital and was immediately shifted to the ICU for emergency care.
The situation was critical because the patient also suffered from hypertension and diabetes.
The patient was kept for five days in the ICU and was given BiPAP support at Bansal Global Hospital. The breathlessness eventually decreased and the patient was successfully treated and discharged in good health.
The family showed immense gratitude for the efficient ICU staff caring 24X7 and also praised our hard-working doctors. And that for us is our biggest reward.
