Bansal Global Hospital is elated to announce its collaboration with Newcastle University, United Kingdom under the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) Fund. ESRC awarded funding to Newcastle University through the Impact Acceleration Account to explore opportunities for data reuse within Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) and implementation agencies. It is indeed a big and indispensable step to bring about a transformation in the health care sector of the capital. The group effort intends at making healthcare accessible to all strata of the society.
Potentially valuable data on developing countries are held by NGOs, though much of it is currently unavailable or unknown to researchers. Challenges around making use of this data include lack of awareness of its existence, lack of confidence in its quality and provenance, and lack of understanding around its appropriateness for use in different contexts.
This IAA funding will enable Newcastle University to develop a new partnership with Bansal Global Hospital and Shri Agrasen Sewa NGO in New Delhi in discovering potential hidden value in the data health camps and developing further research in realizing the impacts that benefit low and middle-income countries.
The team will also present an analysis report to various stakeholders in New Delhi. It includes NGOs, hospital managers, policymakers, and medical professionals. The ultimate aspiration is to impact local policymakers on health provision in developing economies such as India.
