Why you should decrease the usage of crackers on Diwali

The festive season is on with Diwali just a few days away! And it definitely is one of the best times of the year in Delhi. But definitely not for the Delhi air! Causes lung problems

Burning crackers release harmful gases like sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide which cause lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, and excessive production of mucus. These gases are especially harmful for adolescent children and geriatric population.

Causes noise pollution

Every year during Diwali, noise pollution crosses the threshold. It may cause serious hearing problems and sleeping problems in infants. Noise also causes discomfort to animals and birds, that’s why loud crackers should be avoided as much as possible.

Causes Eye irritation

Harmful gases released by crackers stay in the environment for very long time. Suspended particles in the air can go in the eyes to cause eye problems like drying of eyes, excessive watering of eyes, redness and inflammation. Eye problems are usually irreversible and may dim the lights of your future.
