SMOG

5 Tips to protect yourself from the SMOG

The situation of Delhi is alarming these days and with winters approaching just after Diwali, it is going to be worse. The air is so polluted that not only patients with breathing disorders but even common people suffer immensely.

Here are some ways on how we can protect ourselves from the smoke and fog, often called as SMOG:

Wear Mask

It is hardly an option anymore. Talking health-wise, you cannot afford to go outside without masks. Get some washable masks which can help a bit in acting as a barrier between the pollutants in the air and your lungs.

Avoid crowded places

It is not convenient for all, but to the extent possible, stay away from crowded, specially, traffic rich areas to avoid getting in all the pollution from the vehicles.

Plant more plants and trees

If you live in a society, take initiatives to plant trees in order to improve the air quality of the society in the longer run. If that’s not possible, fill your terrace or rooftops with plants. You can also get indoor plants to work as humidifiers.

Don’t burn trash

Don’t do it yourself and discourage others to do the same. Burning trash, wood, and other things increases the pollution to a great level.

Judicial use of resources:

Dr. Suresh Bansal at Bansal Global Hospital take special interest in humanitarian causes and believes that dealing with pollution is as much important as dealing with other illnesses and society issues right now. We can do a lot individually by reducing our house waste, using energy conservatively, judicially using vehicles by using carpool or public transport, etc.

The entire team of Bansal Global Hospital joins hands together to contribute in their own personal way towards reducing the pollution levels of the city and pleads other citizens to do the same.
