Latching Pain
The most common and the first kind of pain that a new mother goes through are sore breasts when the baby first sucks on. If the pain persists after a minute of latching, you might want to check the position. If it still persists, ask for a cream from your gynecologist or newborn baby specialist.
Cracked Nipples
Cracked nipples are a common problem during the first month of breast-feeding. In fact, there can be a little blood too. Though a little blood won’t harm the baby, it can be painful for the mother. Frequent Feeding
Even though women do think it to be a problem, it isn’t. Babies have small stomachs and they need to feed on frequently to keep full. In fact, it is also good for the breastfeeding mother as the supply of milk is good when fed frequently.
Plugged Duct
If you feel a tender area around the areola, it might be a plugged duct. It happens because the milk isn’t draining completely. If you feel feverish along with, there’s a danger of spreading infection. You must contact your gynecologist immediately in that case.
